

We will provide you with your own private on-road fully supported bicycle INN to INN Tour in the Black Hills and Badlands of South Dakota, Central and Western Colorado, the San Juan Islands of Washington State and in the inner lake district of the West Kootenay region of British Columbia. We might even go somewhere else if you ask. We can be quite creative so check us out! Even if you fall short of the 6 person minimum, it may still be worth asking.

This bicycle tour is in Western South Dakota and is a geological, cultural and historic ride via sections of the historic Bigfoot Trail to Wounded Knee through the Badlands National Park and the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. The scenery is amazing with high vistas, deep ravines, towering walls and awesome prairie. One of the tour guides will be from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. |

Rushmore National Memorial and ending in the Badlands National Park. Our guests are simply blown away by the variety of these surroundings not to mention that the bicycle riding is absolutely superb due to the rolling country and wide open vistas.

This is a perfect weekend tour for riders who want to experience hills but not sure they want to ride uphill that much. The tour explores two classics of the Black Hills of South Dakota including Spearfish Canyon and the Mickelson Trail, It is a true trip of contrast and variety. You will stay at the scenic Spearfish Canyon Lodge and end the tour in Hill City where you were picked up at the beginning of the tour. Extra miles and climbing available for the hardier rider. |

At 3 days of riding, this tour is the standard for doing the entire Mickelson Trail in one outing. The accommodations have been carefully selected to balance both luxury and convenience to the Mickelson Trail. We do provide shuttle service each day to specific locations to even out the distances and elevation gains to a reasonable level. We will also have a tour guide riding on the trail and a van at designated trailheads, so we can be flexible and make appropriate adjustments if necessary. |

This tour travels the majority of the San Juan Skyway in southwestern Colorado on mostly low traffic roads with grades of 6% or less. It is an amazing scenic loop and parts of it are referred to as the American Alps, however, you do not have to be hard core to do this tour.. We will average 36 - 41 miles a day ranging from as much as 50 miles the 4th day and as little as 23 miles the 5th day.. As customary for Dakota Bike Tours, we stay in unique places such as Mesa Verde National Park, and in quaint towns and villages like Rico, Telluride, Ouray and Silverton, all mining towns with a rich history. |

Although rated as Moderate + Challenging, this tour may not be as hard as you think with 100 miles on paved bike paths and only 6 miles of 6% grade, the rest is less. If you have not guessed it already, we ride through all the big name resorts and historic mining towns such as Vail, Leadville, Aspen and Glenwood Springs. Paonia is also noted for its orchards and farm to market organic products that are sold in many places including Aspen Colorado. . This tour is balanced to combined easy + to moderate cycling on quiet back roads with the ambiance of orchards, vineyards and incredible mesa views. The finale of the tour will be within a stone’s toss of the north rim of the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, one of the most touted cycling rides in Colorado. |
