Bad Devil Tour
This on-road Tour combines two unique geological wonders of the world with the inspiring beauty of the Badlands National Park and the majestic awe of Devils Tower National Monument, not to mention a tour down Spearfish Canyon, a national scenic byway with towering walls and a world class trout stream. At 40-60 miles per day, this tour nearly doubles the daily standard of 30 miles a day for our other tours and caps the number of guests to 10. Another unique feature of the Bad Devil Tour is that all of our other accommodations are B&Bs; perched on a high vista in the Badlands with incredible views. After our second morning ride of 30 miles, we utilize the van to escape 70 miles of poor quality bike riding so we can enjoy the afternoon in Spearfish Canyon. After another spectacular ride, we stay at the Secret Garden B&B, &built by the Randolph Hearst Family in 1896. Our last 2 nights are at the Devils Tower B&B which is nestled near the base of the Devils Tower with inexplicable views of the tower itself. The proprietor is a climbing guide at Devils Tower and plays the grand piano, adding his own unique character and charm to the tour. On top of the unique scenery and B&Bs, the bicycle riding is absolutely superb due to the rolling country and wide open vistas. Learn more about Bad Devil Tour

We will also visit the remote limestone country of the Black Hills and stop in the historic mining town of Rochford for beverages at the Moonshine Gulch Saloon. We will complete the tour spending Thursday night at the scenic Spearfish Canyon Lodge followed by a ride up Vanocker Canyon and finishing with a descent into Nemo and Rapid City on Friday. The scenery is amazing with high vistas, deep ravines, towering walls and awesome prairie. We will stay at the Circle View Guest Ranch 4 miles west of Interior next to the park headquarters. This B&B was built in 2000 on a plateau overlooking the White River Valley and is operated by a 3rd generation rancher and his wife. The riding of this tour is planned to accommodate all levels of bicycle riders, so no one has to do more than they wish, or if the energetic riders desire, they will have ample opportunities to explore additional loops to climbing all the hilly stretches. Mick Family Adventure
This 4-day tour was successfully tested in 09 with a family of 8 children from ages 3-19. They completed the entire trail with the 3 year old being pulled by the dad in a Burley trailer and the 6 year old peddling (all but 10 miles) a 7 speed half-bike attached to her mother’s bike . The rest of the kids, ages 9-19, road their own bikes the entire 109 miles. This was an unusual family and in that they were are all active in sports, shared a belief that failure was not an option, stayed together on the trail, and picked each other up when spirits got low. This full tour length is not recommended for a being the first adventure outing for a family.
