Owners, Jim and Glenna.

We have had a pleasure serving our guests in 2007.  The one comment we received the most is that "I did not have a clue as to how beautiful the Black Hills actually are".  Comments as to why they are called "Black" when they are really green and lush, and why the Badlands are called "Bad" when they are so awesome and beautiful, were numerous and exhilarating.  What happens to our guests is what happened to us when we moved to the Black Hills from Illinois in 1977.  They fell in love with South Dakota as we did.  And because we are passionate about cycling as a life long social and fitness activity, we started Dakota Bike Tours as the conduit for hosting people in our beautiful state. 

Native Americans in our region see the Black Hills and Devils Tower and other areas as spiritual and sacred.  Early settlers, ranchers, and more recent residents of South Dakota also experience something magical about South Dakota within the Black Hills, Badlands, Prairie and Lakes regions of the state.  Therefore, in 2008, we are expanding our tour geography so we can share more of the magic with our guests.  Our Badlands & Devils Tour Leapfrog Tour will attract those guests who may have already seen Mt. Rushmore but have not seen the Badlands or Devils Tower.  We are also going to the northeastern part of the state on top of a large Coteau which is full of Prairie Hills and Lakes.  This tour is designed for family and friends and will be hosted on a 2000 acre guest and game ranch.  This tour will also touch your soul as the others do.

Another pleasant reward we have received from our guests is their friendship.  Dakota Bike Tours prides itself on warm, friendly and personable service and our guests become our friends.  We do this as a team of professional guides and host.  Our gratitude go to our tour guides Mary, Curt, Steve, Lorna, Cenna and Randy for their passion exhibited for our guests, cycling, and South Dakota.

We are excited about our 2008 tour season and can't wait to host you in our great state.
